The idea behind the directory, Find my Baker, is to help you connect your business with potential clients around you.  We do give you control over your information, so that you can share only what you deemed is necessary.

Who we are is a business directory servicing mainly South Africa, but not limited to it. Find my Baker is owned by Hanel de Wet.  Current residence is in Johannesburg, Gauteng

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

The Site may (but is not obliged to) collect certain information about your visit, such as the name of the Internet service provider and the Internet Protocol (IP) address through which you access the Internet; the date and time you access the Site; the pages that you access while at the Site and the Internet address of the Web site from which you linked directly to our site. This information is used to help improve the Site, analyze trends, and administer the Site.

When you use Find my Baker directory you provide us with two types of information:

*  Personal information you knowingly choose to disclose via your user registration and listing posting.  This would be information such as name, email address, contact number and other information you provide us.  We collect this info so that we can provide you with this service and personalized features.  We retain this info so that you, the user can always come back to your profile, messages etc

* Website information we collect when you interact on the site.  This would be for eg. your IP address, browser type etc.  We store certain information from you browser using “cookies”.  We use the session cookies to confirm users that are logged in, and this will terminate as soon as you close your browser. You can remove this cookie should you wish to.


When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.


If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.


If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

All the information gathered in the online forms on the website, is used to personally identify users that subscribe to this service. The information will not be used for anything other than what is stated in the Terms & Conditions of use for this service. None of the information will be sold or made available to anyone.

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, and you decide to delete your profile, you can request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

How we protect your data

We use a very good security plugin to protect the data on the directory as best we can.  Please be aware that no security measure is perfect or impenetrable.   We are not responsible for circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures contained on the site.


We accept payments through PayFast . When processing payments, some of your data will be passed to PayFast, including information required to process or support the payment, such as the purchase total and billing information.
